Celebrated by cooperatives nationwide during the month of October, National Co-op Month is an annual opportunity to raise awareness of a trusted, proven way to do business and build communities. The theme for this year’s Co-op Month is “Cooperatives Build a Better World,” showcasing how cooperatives are shaping a more equitable, innovative and sustainable future!

As a consumer cooperative, we are owned by the community that shops here and we exist to serve that community- as we have since 1976! Since 1980 we’ve been open to the public, because we are all stronger together when everyone is welcome. We now have almost 5,000 Member-Owners, including over 65% of our staff, so we can all share in our successes!

During October we celebrate the cooperative networks we are a part of (from MAFCA to NCBA to NCG to NFCA ), the cooperative producers we carry, and the cooperatives that we bank and purchase electricity from.
