We value and seek to build our cooperative community of members, shoppers and staff. We also embrace the diverse community where we are located and support and align ourselves with the global cooperative community. We work in partnership with other organizations both locally and nationally on issues related to our neighborhood, health, nutrition, the environment and cooperatives.
Through Flatbush Development Corporation (FDC) youth, housing, immigration, economic development and community improvement programs, FDC helps make Flatbush a vibrant, diverse and healthy community.
National Cooperative Business Association CLUSA International (NCBA CLUSA) is the primary voice in the United States for people who use cooperatives to build a better world.
The Cortelyou Road Merchants Association (CorMA) was established to actively engage the merchants, business professionals, and neighbors of Cortelyou Road in an effort to create a vibrant, thriving commercial corridor and to expand the economic growth of the Flatbush community.
The Neighboring Food Co-op Association (NFCA) is a regional federation of food co-ops working together toward a shared vision of a thriving regional economy, rooted in a healthy, just and sustainable food system, and a vibrant community of co-operative enterprise.
We regularly support and partner with local schools and nonprofit organizations.
