Try this lightly spiced, fragrant beverage at your next holiday meal or when relaxing on a chilly day.

Ingredients

  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1 quart apple cider
  • 2 cups tart cherry juice
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Place cinnamon sticks and cloves in a spice bag or a piece of cheesecloth. Tie to secure.
  2. In a slow cooker, combine the cider, cherry juice, maple syrup and the packet of spices.
  3. Set the cooker on high and let cook for 1 hour or until hot. Add syrup to taste.
